We have an immediate opening for top notch Software Engineer to bring leadership and technical expertise to our Santa Rosa, CA office. You will be responsible for providing support related to all aspects of software analysis, design, development, documentation, and configuration management of our award winning medication management software for hospitals. You'll be responsible for developing new functionality, upgrades, debugging and enhancements for our software applications. The position also includes writing or reviewing specifications, analysis and design of the software. It requires the ability to work well with customers when providing support, and with our clinical consultants when writing or reviewing specifications. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs all commercial software development duties, including but not limited to technical design, coding and unit testing so that commercial software releases are delivered to customers in a predictable and consistent schedule according to company development processes. Assists with building strong product development teams by collaborating with product team(s) to define requirements, conduct analysis and solve problems. Prepares technical documentation and conducts and participates in code reviews to insure that commercial software code meets internal standards and follows industry best practices. Offer technical direction and guidance to other product development team members and assist in managing development environments as well as installing and configuring commercial products. Create labels, forms and reports using Crystal Reports Complies with IT standards and procedures for quality assurance/quality control, program specifications and structure, naming conventions and documentation as described in the standard operating procedures. Other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications: Required Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent degree or 5 years of software development experience in lieu of the degree - 2+ years experience as a software engineer / developer - 2+ years Visual Basic.NET - 2 years SQL Server databases, SQL, ADO.NET - 1 year Crystal Reports v8.5 or higher - Windows 2000/NT Server and Windows Vista/XP/2000 - SourceSafe knowledge - Enjoy working with others in a team atmosphere. - Enjoy maintaining/enhancing code to meet changing customer/industry needs - Experience gathering and documenting system requirements - Be able to analyze/debug problems and be proactive in proposing and implementing solutions - Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies - Excellent written and oral communication - Demonstrates strong problem solving skills - Must be authorized to work permanently in the United States http://www.globat.com/join/index.bml?AffID=621144 |
